About Paula’s Rock Shop

Change is inevitable, so in 2005, when the major bus service in western Vermont was terminated, Paula and Rob began transforming their family business, the Bennington Bus Station, into Paula’s Weaving Workshop. Paula had developed the side business of seat weaving repairs while running the bus station, so it was a natural transition. The lost revenue stream from bus tickets had to be replaced, so they embraced their shared interests in Earth’s natural wonders and added a new age Rock Shop to the Weaving Workshop. Paula’s artistic need to create has also lead to the addition of the Side Lawn Sculpture Park, featuring up-cycle creations by Paula and her friend Tom Longtin. This mixture of passions, skills, and a private parking lot is now recognized as a favorite shopping destination in downtown Bennington.
